I appreciated getting to know more about Rose and others in the town throughout the series though. These books did somewhat remind me of the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries movies that I love so much, but the town, local job, and main character don’t have the same appeal to me. I don’t want to do full-blown reviews like I have in other series binge reviews, so here are some highlights on the whole thing. This book series has been a huge distraction to life’s stressors, and I really needed it. I’ve been spending a lot of time at hospitals and doctor’s appointments lately, due to my mother’s recent cancer diagnosis, so I loaded a bunch of books onto my Kobo Glo HD and have been reading non-stop. There are currently 7 novels and 3 novellas available in this series and I read them all in six weeks, which is pretty crazy, even for a bookaholic like me. This is a common theme in each of the books that follow and I read each and every one in record time. Rose’s “gift” can be a blessing and a curse, because Rose sees things and feels obligated to intervene, even though it can be to her own detriment. So Rose tries to clear her name using a “gift” few know about: she has the ability to see the future in the eyes of other people who are physically near her. Without giving too many details away, Rose Gardner discovers her mother’s murdered body and unfortunately, she becomes suspect number one. This novel takes off right away and is action packed from beginning to end. If you love reading romantic mysteries that leave you wanting more and more, then you will adore the Rose Gardner Mysteries by Denise Grover Swank!īack in June, I randomly decided to download the first book in the Rose Gardner Mysteries, titled Twenty-Eight and a Half Wishes, to my Kobo eReader, and once I started reading, I couldn’t stop.
